Milan Vukmirovic makes great use of Arthur Sales’ boyish qualities with a L’Officiel Hommes spread dedicated to the eternal little kid. Entitled, “We Could Be Heroes”, the editorial sees a little humor as Arthur has a playful chance at cheeky portrayals of popular heroes and villains, ranging from Mickey Mouse to Darth Vader.
Three years ago, when Baptiste Giabiconi was working at a helicopter plant in southern France, his big dream was to save enough money to buy his own pizza truck. The son of a Corsican mechanic, Giabiconi (seen here in a portrait shot by Ola Rindal) had never been to Paris and had certainly never considered a career in modeling. But then someone noticed him at his local gym and referred him to a photographer, who introduced him to a Paris agent, who got him booked on a couple of small magazine jobs. Then someone else noticed him in one of those magazines and called him in for a test shoot. - from W Magazine
Sasha Pivovarova, one of my favorite models represents everything that is precious and pure in her latest editorial for the March 2010 issue of Vogue UK. Casted as the leading star in Tim Walker’s fantastical porcelain world, Sasha conveys a beautifully fragile dimension that is fitting of stylist Kate Phelan’s dramatic focus on spring’s crisp white garments.
Craig McDean gets messy for his latest contribution to Interview magazine where the British photographer shoots Sasha Pivovarova in the graffiti-ed My Space. Styled by Karl Templer, Sasha dons several eccentric looks featuring pieces from Balenciaga’s spring collection.
Love magazine’s third issue goes for eight naughty covers. Cover girls Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Natalia Vodianova, Amber Valletta, Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone, Kristen McMenamy and Jeneil Williams were captured by Mert & Marcus for the magazine’s (barely) censored black and white covers.
